Q & A's For Men

Q. I like keeping control, so how deep do I need to be in a ministry session?

A. We encourage you to go as deep as the Holy Spirit leads you - no more and no less. 

Q. Is this like going to a mental health professional (psychiatrist, psychologist, therapist, etc)? 

A. No, our mental health professionals give wisdom and counsel. With Mashah, we are trained in the Word of God, prayer, and helping you hear the voice of God. We do not replace professional counseling. 

Q. Is my information confidential?

A. Yes, our Mashah teams adhere to a strict confidentiality code. However, you may share with whomever you'd like. 

Q. If I reveal the depth of my issues, will it change how you think about me? Will you judge me?

A. No, we recognize it takes great courage and bravery to share. The team's job is to act as a facilitator in the conversation between you and Christ, not to judge you. We listen and are there for you to lean on as you move through your journey of exposing old hurts. 

Q. How does Mashah work? Do I just sit there and bare my soul?

A. No, it is more of a Q & A process. You ask a non-leading question (led by the team) and listen to how Jesus speaks to you. He can speak through impressions, feelings, words, pictures, etc. What you see, sense, or hear in that moment formulates the following questions. It sounds strange, but it works powerfully. God wants you free more than you want to be free! He is that good. 

Q. Will this ministry change behaviors, attitudes, and beliefs?

A. Yes, behaviors and attitudes are both based on what we believe. Jesus Christ exposes false beliefs (those that do not align with His word) and replaces them with His truth. That truth influences your beliefs, attitudes, actions, speaking, etc. 

Q. How many ministry sessions will I need?

A. Each individual is different. We don't want to drain your time or your wallet, but we want you to get the healing you need so you can be the powerful man God has called you to be. 

Q. Who comprises the team?

A. We have a strict policy that you will have two trained male Mashah prayer ministers OR a trained married couple ministering to you.
